Details on upcoming TVD hiatus

Urghhh we do hate it when news of a hiatus is revealed and this time we have to wait a whole 4 weeks for a new episode :( 1-2 weeks is bearable but a month is torture lol. So after tomorrow nights episode "All my children" there will not be another episode until 15th March. I'm sure it will hopefully *crosses fingers* go quickly. In the meantime i shall be resorting to normal coping tricks of rewatching all the seasons, watching fan videos, any new cast interviews that may come up. Good luck with the hiatus everyone, we can get through this together lol.

News on the upcoming TVD hiatus

So we all suspected there would be a hiatus coming up and we have now heard directly from Julie Plec on twitter that episode 309 "Homecoming" will be the last episode of the year :( *sobs* the next episode will air on 5th January 2012. So it will be that time again to get out the season 1 & 2 boxsets and rewatch again to satisfy the cravings.

Top tips for coping with season breaks and hiatus's from TVD

1. Make like Ian Somerhalder (Damon)and find a good cause to which you can donate your time. An animal shelter, perhaps? (Just think: You could score some major points with Mr. Smolderhotter!)

2. Buy Ian, Nina, and Paul trading cards. Spend copious amounts of time cataloging, dusting, and ogling them.

3. DVR the TVD marathon. Instead of watching two episodes a night, watch one or two a week to get you through the dry spell.

4. Every Thursday night, host a TVD-themed party in which everyone dresses up like their favorite character from Mystic Falls. Proceed to talk about your all-time favorite events on the show.

5. Reenact your favorite moments (Tyler’s transformation? Cave sex? What, too much?) with your friends. It will be way cooler than a Renaissance fair reenactment. We promise.
