When we first heard Ian Somerhalder (Damon) would be donning some leather pants (and doing stunts in them) in an upcoming ep, we were a little confused (albeit, admittedly excited). But now we’ve got the scoop on why the sexy vampire man will be all decked out: Mystic Falls is having another “Decade Dance” (remember last season’s “Unpleasantville”?) and this time the Vampire Diaries crew will be going all ‘60s. Far out, man.
So we’ve got Damon’s outfit down, but what will our other supernatural stars be sporting to this swinging ‘60s shindig? Nina Dobrev tweeted this pic where she’s donning a groovy purple mini dress and some geometric earrings to match — though we’re not sure whether the saucy outfit belongs to Elena or Katherine. It’s pretty hard to tell these days. Candice Accola (Caroline) will be dressed in “Jackie Kennedy's famous pink suit and pillbox hat,” according to Zap2It. And as for the boys? Sadly, Tyler won’t be popping back into town any time soon (though things would probably get awkward if he had to transform mid-Monkey, no?) but Zap2It’s Carina Adly MacKenzie has some guesses about the others: “We can expect Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to be in suits with a '60s twist (flared pants are a definite possibility).”
